Jan 19 2005 Class log

Today we practiced Forms, Backwheel kicks, and went over the history of our Tae Kwon Do class.

Some questions we have:
o Upper Knifehand Block and Palm Strike in Palgwe Yuk Jang -- Is the Palm Strike open or clenched?

o For the Scissors Block in Basic Movements, which hand starts when which foot leads? What's the turn around?

o How should we proceed with Push Aways moving forward? What's the turn around?

In Palgwe Yuk Jang, the Palm Strike is open handed.

For Scissors Block in basic movements, the leading hand depends on which hand did the last movement. The lower hand from the previous movement always comes up.

For PushAways, it is similar, the nondominant hand from the prior movement is the hand that comes up and starts the push away with a circular motion.
